From midday on Wednesday 12 August, Dunedin will be at Alert Level 2 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Minimising the spread of Covid-19 to ensure the well-being of New Zealanders is our top priority. Although the work being carried out by City Sanctuary is important, we will strictly follow the guidelines and regulations being communicated by the Government. Along with Predator Free Dunedin and its delivery partners, we have developed a set of guidelines for how we will operate at different Covid-19 alert levels.

Alert Level 2

Under Alert Level 2 our work can continue, so long as physical distancing, personal hygiene and contact tracing guidelines are followed.

Backyard trapping

Backyard traps and monitoring devices can be delivered and installed as usual. Physical distancing, personal hygiene and contact tracing guidelines must be followed.

Reserve trapping

Volunteer activities on public land can continue. Physical distancing, personal hygiene and contact tracing guidelines must be followed. There may be restrictions on some types of public land.

Volunteering

Volunteer activities can continue as usual. In-person meetings will be done digitally. If this is not possible, physical distancing, personal hygiene and contact tracing guidelines must be followed.
