Buying a trap is a great option if you want to get involved in backyard trapping but don’t live in City Sanctuary’s operating area. Dunedin’s i-SITE/DOC Visitor Centre is selling possum and rat traps that are easy to use, humane-tested, and safe for pets and kids.

You can also pick up some non-toxic chew cards for monitoring predators in your backyard, and resources about the predator free vision.

Trapinator possum trap

The Trapinator is a tree-mounted kill trap designed to target possums. These traps are easy to use and effective at humanely dispatching possums, while being safe to use around pets.

T-Rex rodent trap
